Teaching Skills

My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that education can drive social change and promote social justice. Language is both, a means of communication and a tool for critically examining societal structures and power dynamics. I incorporate Critical Pedagogy to help students explore social, racial and language hierarchies and the connections between language, identity and power. By fostering critical thinking, I empower students to become agents of change in their communities.
